    macklum, i don't see how ur gonna use those materials to create the sub grill... do you have an example or inspiration picture that you're going to mimic the design? I'm fairly experienced in glassing, MDF, and masonite, but the combination of the 3 for a 3dimensional grill is really intriguing to me. Please do tell...

            i'm assuming he's going to make the design out of masonite, secure it to an MDF ring, and then glass over it to make it rigid and smooth. i can't think of any good reason why it wouldn't work together. i'd use something like this over the masonite to make it more 3D.
