    Need Engine Help

I was wondering if anyone can offer advice as to what the problem with my engine may be. I have a GTR motor in my 91 Protege LX and the engine runs fine, but is hesitant and has bad valve tap. This occured out of nowhere and I checked the oil level and it is fine. Any ideas as to what the problem may be are welcome.

I used thicker oil 20-50 maybe?.. Car started fine durring the summer but winter was a different story . but u should use synthetic oil with your GTR motor. ..Jon

really thin oil sometimes fixes the problem too...

either way, its just a bandaid, and your HLAs are going bad...and i havent the foggiest clue if the are different from regular BP or GTX HLAs.

it was Gro Harlem who posted on raising the oil pressure. he did it with a couple washers. it apparently is a common mod for the mx6's V6. if he is around he can tell you how.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

I have the manuals on my cpu , but they are not small. lol
When we were installing the motor, I didn't get to really look at the HLA's, when Adam swaped the valve covers. I was to damn busy trying to connect ****. So if they are different, I don't know, wish I had snaped a pic.

I would say , throw a little lucas in there. My HLA's would tap a little but once the oil got up there it was all cool .
