    Niagara River Parkway

from Toronto: Take the QEW to Glendale Ave. exit. make sure to take exit 38b

From USA :Buffalo NY border crossing Take the QEW to Glendale Ave and use exit 38.
Lewiston NY crossing take highway 405 to the QEW and also use exit 38.

So you're on Glendale avenue now.
    go north to York Rd.
and turn right. Take York rd. to Concession 6 take a left and continue on Concession 6 until you come to Niagara Stone Rdwhere you turn right. You'll go into the town of Virgil and come to a traffic light at the corner which is Niagara Stone Rd and Four Mile Creek Rd Drive down Four Mile Creek Rd. until you come right to the end of it. Thats Lakeshore Rd, it will bend to the right and become Mary St.
Continue down Mary st. until the end and and you will then take a left at King St. go down King st. and make a right at Picton St.

Basically if you keep driving on this road, it will take you right to the Niagara River. So keep heading south. THere are quite a few historic places/monuments etc.. along the way.
At queenston heights park, there is Brock's Monument for example, tennis courts, a restaraunt and snack bar. For those that need to answer the call, there are public washrooms, clean public cans. Something you don't find too many places.
This is also a historic Protege place as this was the location of the Can-Am meet many moons ago.
Continuing south you'll pass the Floral Clock, its kinda hard to notice in the winter time. Around the bend just after that, you will pass the Sir Adam Beck Generating plant, and on the other side of the bridge, the Niagara Mohawk Power Plant. Just past the power plant, watch out for the pigs. They like to sit there with their radar. shortly after that its kinda hard to find unless you've been down it before, but there is a road that goes off the parkway, the surface is mint and its practically a slalom course, unfortunately they put speed bump in about every third or fourth turn.

Keep going south and you'll pass the Niagara Glen, there is a set of stairs that takes you down into the Niagara Gorge and there are a number of hiking trails. Keep in mind that the walk down is easy, the walk back up is not.
moving right along you will pass the whirlpool and the Spanish AeroCar one of the worthy attractions in the Falls. Trust me not all of them are worthwhile.
Getting into the Fallsview area the traffic will be pretty heavy, during the summer time, I used to work down there and sometimes it took me an hour to get to work.
Past the falls there is Dufferin Islands with some easy walking trails, its also a nice spot for picnicing, and so on. Getting into Chippawa you will come to a set of stop lights with a Tim Hortons on the other side, Make a left, go over the bridge and make another left at the next set of lights. Follow this street down to the end and turn right. You're back on the parkway again. Continue south and take some pictures along the way. You can follow the river right to the PEace bridge.

This isn't a really "fast road" but more a slow ridin' cruise type of road.
There's quite a bit to see and do on the way and if anybody is planing on heading to the falls I can tell you the good **** to check out.
