Most hp out of a 3rd gen?

Ok guys some of you know I've been in a search for a 2.5RS for me to turbo, but I'm having some difficulty finding one. My other option was to get a DSM, but I don't know if I really want one. So I was thinking of other turbo cars I could do, and I though of only two other cars I'd really like to have . . .

    a) B16b Civic w/ turbo
    b) 3rd gen Pro w/ turbo

Really if I went civic route, I probably wouldn't do a B16b swap, and most likely just turbo an Si. But I don't want to own another civic, I've already owned two, killed one, and the other got killed by a Ford.

That leaves the 3rd gen Pro. It would have to be either an LX or ES, not the MP3 because it lacks ABS and a sunroof. So after all this typing, If I still have someone's attention, how much hp can I get from a daily driver 3rd gen?

From a daily driven pro I would say around 170whp.

Not even close. Believe it or not, there's a guy who was laying down 300whp on his Mazdaspeed.....stock bottom end. Mind you, he recently blew that engine. What did he expect? Anyways, replace the FS rods, and the skies the limit on the 3rd Gens....

Yeah, but we are talking max power and still able to be driven daily.

moot point. Cause I just put a deposit on a car. The dealer is sending it to fix the body damage that I wanted fixed before I decide to buy the car. When it comes back and I see the work, I can decide if I want to take it or not. I'm pretty sure i'm goin to take it, so when I drive home with it I'll take pics and unveil the car in the photo/video threads.

Honestly, there are enough NA Proteges, with very few mods, blowing rods and spinning bearings. So even 200whp is pushing it. Get new rods and bearings and increase oil pressure, and you should be good for 350whp. That one guy got lucky for a very long time......
