    Eibach Pro-Kit with Tokico HPs

What ever developed with those guys that said that they were getting 'clunking' from the rear struts with the eibach pro-kit?

I have read that most people choose the eibachs. But what do you think about the H & R's?

Cause if the eibach are a problem then I want to steer away from that. This is my only car, now that I sold my gen 1. And I have to drive to work everyday.

Anyone that can assist me with problems that they have had or has any suggestions/tips/pictures of the install, would be much appreciated. thanks

thanks alan. but you do remember maybe 5-6 months ago, people were hearing clunking in the rear with those eibachs. Have you ever measured your overall drop? Any pics?

Clunking could have something to do with them not installing them right? I had trouble getting the rears to seat just right... but finally did. Maybe they are not seated right.. .I have only had mine installed this week.... no clunking yet.

My right rear was clunking for about a week, because the spring was halfway popped out of the upper seat. I felt stupid.

          All is fine now.

Ok, looks like i will be going with that set up unless I hear good things about the h & r's. I had h&r's with tokicos on my 92 and loved them.

the "fix" was for eibachs with stock struts, as the stock strut piston was not threaded deep enough, so people had to use washers to tighten it fully.

only once i notices some squeeking from the left rear, and it was the spring unseating from the perch. an easy fix. i just tugged down on the spring and jiggled the thing into place.

So this is a common problem with the eibach springs--not seating properly. Any tips to someone that might be installing these springs?
