My cv joint boot is torn in two . What can I use to hold it together, I read once about duct tape. Also does the cv joint use lithium grease??

If you use duct tape or some type of glue only use that as a temporary fix. You should really have it replaced, you don't want that axle seizing and seperating on you due to improper lubrication from lost grease.
It's not that hard or expensive to replace the entire axle yourself. Maybe ~$80
