Junkyard 2nd Gen Hunt (56K beware)

Okay guys so I went to the junkyard this past weekend (Aug 21, 2004). The first one I went to, out of hundreds of cars I found only one 2nd Gen protege. And ta da it was the ellusive ES. It was so sad to see it all bashed in though.

I'll post pics here and just show you guys my findings if you see anything that you might be able to use let me know.

OKay here's whats left of the engine. Damn people have been picking away at this car. I wish I was the first one to get to it. After I left I made sure to close the hood.

Okay here's a total shot of the entire/or what's left of the engine:

    Couple of engine close-ups:

Yeah it sucks. People definetle picked away at the engine. I was sad and happy at the same time. Happy I found a 2nd gen but sad that people destroyed it and didn't even take complete parts out.

Good news is the instrument cluster was intact and I got it for $25.

If anyone sees anything that might be of intrest to them just let me know.

Wow, that is pretty sad. This is a rare car, and only seen a couple on the road myself. I am not even mentioning finding one at a junk yard. So far, the only thing I was able to find at junk yard on 2nd gen was a rear sway bar. I was lucky it was a 95 model year, because then I would be really sad.

What would be the advantage of doing that?

Here's the pricing of the parts some people inquired about:

                          A/C Compressor $20-30
                          Engine Mount $10
                          Wiring Harness $5 a foot
                          ECU $??

I plan on going back the weekend of Sept 11. If you want me to check something out let me know before then. I'll take more pics when I go.

Bruce- I'm not sure how to check to make sure the ECU is good. The pictures are all I've got on the condition of parts.

**edit** These prices are for cars that are from the junkyard in the pics above. There is another one by my place but more expensive and take better care of cars.

I went to the junk yard yesterday looking for an axle for my car, and came across 6 1st gens and about 10 second gens. This junk yard takes extremely good care of their cars. I mean when someone removes a window, they replace it with plastic to keep the interior clean. It was raining when i was there so i didnt get to look at anything real close, but im going back this weekend and will take some pics. This junkyard is retarted cheap, on sundays you can get Engines for $89, you pull it. Any one looking for parts, Ill make a day of it and see what I can stir up.
