    tire choice

I'm about to get a new set of tires for my car. I currently have Hankook Ventus tires on my car and I'm looking for something a good bit stickier. The tires that I have my eyes on right now are the Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tire, but I was wanting to know what you guys think about the tires on your car. I know the Hankooks are pretty decent, but I know I can get much better grip than what I got right now.

I originally planned on running Parada Spec 2's on my MP3 once the Kumhos were burnt down. But I have heard nothing but terrible things about them from my friends in town. I guess the best question right now is how much money do you want to spend? I am pretty set on the BF Goodrich G-forces (I think that is what they are called, they are stock on SRT-4s). But I think a good cost-efficient tire right now in 17s is the Neogeo's by Nitto. You can get a set of 205/40/17's for under $400 shipped.

I don't want to go completely nuts on a set of tires budgetwise. The tires you are talking about, are they the G-force T/A KDW2 or the G-force T/A KD. I love the way the KDWs look. From what I read, the Paradas are better dry-weather tires over the KDWs, but the tables turn in the wet.

I had Potenza RE730's on my stock rims 15", but now with my 17s, I just had RE750s installed. I love them! They are not the absolute grippiest, but close. They have great treadware, good wet performance, and they are absolutely quiet.

I just dumped some Yokohama Avid H4's.

I'm using Yokohama AVS ES 100's. They provide great handling, wet or dry, with no tendency to hydroplane. They are also extremely quiet for a performance tire. I highly recommend them.

                    sticky street tires:

                    BFG KD
                    Falken Azenis Sport
                    Toyo T1S
                    Bridgestone S02 and S03
                    Kumho MX

those are the top 6, in no particular order. But *ANY* other tire just isn't on that level right now.
