GTR ECU, wire harness, VAF, and injectors on a GTX?

Any of you vets know how well (or not so well) this would work on an otherwise stock GTX?

I can't seem to get my hands on a GTX ECU but I came across this package and figure it may be an option... and will leave me some room to grow in the future (perhaps a VJ23 upgrade?)

The price is decent I suppose... most importantly its available unike the GTX ECU.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

It works, so longs as you have the whole package :-

    ECU
    AFM
    Injectors
    Ballast Resistor Block
    Wiring Loom

They're all adifferent between a GTX and GTR, so you need to swap as a whole ideally.

what is that resistor block and what makes it necessary? that's the only thing that doesn't come with the package.

      thanks!

GTR injectors are low impedance. The ECU has drivers for high impedadance, to there is a resistor block that mounts on the AFM to raise the impedance, and an extra section on the wiring loom for this.

Nope, don't see it in the pic. The resistor pack is a black heatsink that looks like a rectangle with a black wire coming out of it with a grey plug on the end.

where is it usually mounted? maybe I can have a better picture sent to me. If its usually mounted on the VAF, I can't see why it would be taken off.

                Thanks

It's usually mounted on the AFM, in that pic you have wires on top of the AFM, so i can't see it...

                  If you looke here...

... you can see it on the bottom left of the AFM, it's grey / black but caught the reflection from the camera flash...

you dont need the resistor block, just get high ohm,s4/s5 rx7 460's, skip the block and just plug and play, i found them a bit cheaper too. i will be using them on mine, ill be doing the gtr ecu, afm, and rx7 460s, on a vf8/vj20 hybrid setup....
