ZX2 Struts keep them or not?

Ok, I know this may sound stupid. I've heard of this swap. Are the struts that alot of people are getting come OFF OF the ZX2 or are they aftermarket struts FOR the ZX2? My Prot is dead now and I have some struts from a wrecked ZX2 (because mine were busted, and that was the first thing I found). I was needing to know if it is worth keeping them for my next Prot or not messing with it.
Anyone who wants to throw a 1st gen Protege my way, is welcome.

the ZX2 struts that everyone talks about are the ZX2 SR struts, not the regular ones that you have.

Thanks, I knew they felt too, the same as the last ones I had before they busted. **** I wish my Prot still worked, now I'm stuck driving an Aerostar until I get my Mustang back.
