i heard poor things about dropzone in terms of overall quality . . . BUT if you are just lookin for some "decent" coilovers (read : just want to lower your car) then those will be ok.

Yes, they bolt right in; everything you need is in the package.

You won't need to buy new struts now, but you may need to when you blow out your oem ones depending on how much you've lowered the car. The more you've lowered it, the sooner you will blow out your struts.

Oh, you will need to rent or buy a spring compressor. Please don't use the towel method!!!!

no not me. i remember someone on this board or "the old board" had swapped out his springs using the towel method . . . and it is just like it sounds . . .using bath towels as spring compressors.

towel method.........I did this when i dont know anything about cars and i cut the springs on my brand new 97 civic ex back then.

put the towel on the top of the nuts while removing it on the top of the struts so it wont fly all over the place...

When I was at the junkyard. They had the escorts sitting on tires and proped up. I just loosened the bolt and let that bitch fly.
That spring poped with so much pressure I was amazed.
I just wanted the strut mount though as my 323 needed one.

Those springs pack a serious punch..
