I hate these tires....t1s. how about slicks?

As most of you know, I got this tires not too long ago maybe a month or two. I was hearing very good veed backs about this but once i got it I hated it. They said its better than the azenis but its not. The only thing good about this tires is when the road is wet thats it.

Im racing my car at the track this coming Oct 3rd. I was just wondering since my tires dont got no traction and my buddy have a spare slicks in his garage. Do you guys think I can use slicks and be able to drive home for 2 hours? meaning will the axles and tranny on my 323 (b6 tranny) will be able to hold in there? will it break? Lets say im pushing 110 hp at the wheels...

theres no reason you cant drive home with slicks except that you are throwing his money out the window.

Try one pass just to hit 15.3 w/ slicks.

B6 tranny not going to hold the differential is going to blow.

Take your toyos just in case and mess with tire pressure.

          good luck

LX tranny are only $79 here in USA CA. Thats regular price. If its onsale which is 50% off that'll be roughly around$50 including tax.

That is very cheap. Maybe you can consider getting a couple of them selling em to your fellow board members for $100 a piece plus shipping. 50 for the T and you get to pocket 50 for your time. It would help many of us and put some dough in your pocket for extra goodies for your car. (I don't mean to offend you or anything btw)

if you do it a couple times, it BETTER not take half the day. Should be able to drop one in ~2 hours, maybe less. $25/hour isn't too sucky.

I took one out the other weekend, took Intruder and I about 3.5 hours. It's made harder by the fact the wheel had a locking nut on it, and I couldn't get the wheel off. I just had to cut the driver's axle. It might be faster next time. At that point I could have taken out the whole engine, too, would just have to remove a few wires.
