    Dyno'd my 1.5L AT Pro

    OK so I felt brave and I went ahead and dyno'd my 1.5L Automatic Protege. It wasn't good. Wasn't good at all. Well here's the sheet in case anyone wants a good laugh.

    Dyno ----> <----- My car

    Mods (that would matter, but obviously not much): 2.25" cat back exhaust, hi-flow cat, K&N air filter in stock enclosure.

    So i guess when they say this car puts out 92 that's for manual only???

        My condolences. Start working on a swap or forced induction now.

          Yeah the dyno run was really depressing. WTF why did mazda make a car this slow??

          Damn swaps gonna cost a couple G's. Sometimes I think ... Why am i keeping this, I should just get another car that has more aftermarket parts... but I realize that cost a lot of money too.

          I semester left, then I can invest in the parts for swap.

                  30% loss in the drivetrain? That's ridiculous.

                        Have you dyno'd your car (I think it's the Z5) ? You have a manual right. What are your mods?

                            Like Charles said, I (still) have the auto tranny. The only mods that I have are those extended reach spark plugs, and a factory replacement K&N air filter. On top of that I have low compression in cyl. 4 and my motor is running very rough at idle...

                            I should dyno the darn thing before I do the swap. Just for ****s and giggles, and to compare to your modded 1.5L.

                              Intruder: I have to check my engine also. What's your gas mileage if you have a prob with 4th cylinder? That's be even more depressin if your car gets like 20 more hp than mine.

                              Well ... at least no one can say they would be embarrased to get their car dyno'd. You chances are high at beating at least me.
