Alright guys, making the 323 handle.

I hear that the Escort wagon sway bars are really thick? How thick are they? I was thinking of a wagon rear and EGT front with of course all new bushings.

If you do go for the LX sway bars, make sure you grab the rear one from the '92 and later models as they are 21mm compared to the 20mm ones that came with the earlier years. I have the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar and I highly recommend it. That piece probably made the most difference out of all the suspension goodies I have installed on my Pro over the years.

The wagons is 1mm bigger. And does anyone have a link for the Suspension Techniques one?
Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

The problem with our cars is that the damn front sway bar is so hard to replace. You have to basically tear apart the whole front end of the car to get to it.

The ST front sway bar is an add-on 19mm bar as far as I remember, so it might be a bit easier to install...

get tha mazdaspeed LSD, i find that besides tires it made the biggest difference in the cars cornering, with the stock sway bars i can get the rear-end to slide out by just letting off the gas mid-turn.

i had some nitto 555r's on the front and falken azenis in the back and you should of seen the crazy drifts the car was doing, people weren't believing me that i was pulling the e-brake. there was no understeer whatsoever.

i run H&R springs, tokico struts, Falken Azenis tires, and the MSP LSD and when things get twisty the car is a blast to drive, cept for the fact that the brakes will get soft.

let us not forget that some 323 do not have a front sway bar. that would be a good start. also bracing the rear end will help stuctural flex. mazdaracers tie bars are also a good product.

but the biggest upgrades are a spring/strut/tire
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?
