    '90 323 fair market value?

I have a '90 323. About 120k miles, runs great although leaks oil. Just put a new alternator in it, and just did a tune up (plugs, wires, filters). Tires are pretty good, the fronts especially. Only about 1k miles on it since the tune-up/alternator jobs.

    The Bad:
The paint is horrible. The body is in 'ok' shape. Has two 'larger' dents, the normal door dings, and AFAIK no body-rust. Will need cv joints (at least passenger side) eventually, and the driver-side wheel bearing sounds like it needs replaced.

Only real mod that would be going with it would be the '94 MX-3 seats.

It's not that pretty, but it would be a great commuter car or even a good project car (originally it's purpose, but I'm just losing interest).

Would $700 be too much to ask? If it is, I might as well just drive it until it dies (which might be a looong time, hehehe).

    What do you guys think?

Oh yea, as for the rims/tires and the springs and struts, I'd probably be putting them on the protege. I may sell the wheels/tires, though... They have maybe 1k miles on them, same with the springs and struts.

dude, by all accounts, i honestly think with all the defects you listed, i bluebooked your car sold in MY area for 1,200 and the dealership selling cost would be upwards of 1,500.. but that doesn't take into account for common defects. ask for at least 1,000 or 1,200 or even more, then you have a cushion to let somebody talk you down to at least give you the leverage to get more than you were hoping for out of the deal. i don't know, but good luck with it.

with all that work that needs to be done you would be hard pressed to get 700,, maybe 500 if your lucky ..

figure the car needs a wheel bearing, axle and whatever else.. ..
I would get an axle from the yard , and install it.. It's real easy and get a hub, from an escort or pro and put that on,, then ask 700..

Most times people will want to deduct money, when there are problems. So if there are no major probs you can sell it quick ..
