    who can tell me what this plug is (gtx motor)


    see right under the big 8 plug connector
    there is a gray plug... i dont know where it goes
    can someone help?
    it creeps up from inbetween the head and intake manny so it seems

      i can't really see the pic, but because of the location and color, it's a. the fan switch connector (connects to the sensor in the thermostat housing) or b the o2 connector.

        you couldnt ask for a clearer pic. The problem is it needs some ps to make clear which plug he was talking about. I assume its this one:
        The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

          yes thats the plug in talking about... i pulled it over there from between the head and intake manny..

          i dont think its the 02 connector cause that is all hooked up

            here it is.. the wire goes straight down from there... looks like it could reach the back of the block

                lol, could it be the knock sensor? Since it can reach a long ways, but im not sure im just thowin out some ideas.

                    Its the knock sensor like 93superscort said. It leads right by the oil pressure tap and the oil filter.

                        GTX motors came with a knock sensor overseas from what I have read.

                        I dont know how nessecary they are.....
                        The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

                            cablemirc might be the one to better answer your question.... I remember talking to him about this a while back, I think he said that it might throw a code with the knock sensor missing if your are running the GTX (BP26) ecu. Since your running the EGT ecu (you still are right?) this shouldn't be an issue b/c the ECU doesnt have the knock sensor in it nor is it setup for it.

                            Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

                              im having the similar prob, mine dont start i dont no if this will cause the car not to start??? check my other post i just made with a pic.... let me know..
