    Carpet finally swapped

Finally I got to swap my tan carpet with the grey one I picked up at the junkyard.

Took my a while but t's worth it. Interior matches better now. And I installed my trunk release (also got from the junkyard). Now I need some racing seats. Seat covers will have to hold me over for now.

Here's some pics of the carpet swap:

      Thanx.

Things would be so much easier if I had my own garage though. Then I could work better at night and be able to paint parts without having to worry about too much wind/dirt.

I didn't get a direct price for the carpet but here's a link that has the stuff I got and the total price, which was $36.00.

            Post w/ carpet price

It's not as hard as it seems to replace the carpet. The only thing that is a drawback is that the carpet under the ECU has to be cut, unless you really want to go through the extra effort of removing all wires n stuff.

If you're trying to get the same carpet you currently have might as well go to the junkyard. How much does a shop/store charge to do a carpet swap?

Damn man, that's hot as hell. I know its kind of off topic but did your car come with the black panels? I really want to change my carpet and get rid of my brown interior. Besides buying black panels if available, my only way of having a black interior is by painting it and I doubt it'll last. Again, nice carpet.

Nope I got the whole interior repainted. My interior used to be all tan. First time I took my car to the shop and they did all the painting/dying/replacing headliner but as you mention the paint did hold up in some parts. It wouldn't have been a problem if I knew what paint the shop used but I had no clue.

I redid all 4 door panels, the middle panels & pillars, rear deck, back pillars, and other small panels. I used Duplicolor Auto paint and it gives the parts a nice shiny effect. Just so it's not too bad looking when the paint scratches, I got the grey interior parts from the junkyard and painted those. The parts I repainted are holding up pretty nicely and I've got my touch up paint handy when I need it.

The huge painted section attached to the steering wheel/airbag/radio is still the shops original paint job. I'm being lazy and don't feel like repainting it.

Thats hot. I might do that. I want to have a simple but good looking interior. I may just get the grey panels and do an aLL Grey interior. They have grey racing seats so i plan on getting that. Again.. one hell of a job :D I really like it

Use SEM paint... it works way better than the other plastic paints.
