It's just so dead around here, and there wasnt even 1 thread in this section. Anyways, if all goes as planned, i will be runnin a gtx with the stock egt ecu. I will be gettin a Wideband o2 sensor so i can see what the stock ecu can take for boost for sure.
Im doing this swap my self so i think the I/C piping will be the hardest part. Otherwise it doesnt seem to hard, but i guess ill find out during the swap.Paul S.- New Canadian Dropzone distributor

Motor (duh)
G-series Tranny
G series Axles
Half or Intermediate shaft from protege LX
Speedo cable from protege LX
ECU (I plan or running the NA BP ECU with an SAFC II)
FMU (cartech or vortech?)
Intercooler
intercooler piping
boost controller
A/F gauge
boost gauge
EGT gauge
at least 2.5in Exhaust piping, mandrel bent
magnaflow exhaust
RX7/Walboro 255l/p/h fuel pump
bov
now the rest is what I plan on doing to help insure that my GTX runs forever and gives me some more power.
Oil, filter, spark plugs.... pretty much all of the extras that GroHarlem so nicely listed in his Motor swap guide (Thanks to Wil).
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
ACT clutch
Short shifter + bushings
powder coating the header
shot peening the gears
List I made from an earlier thread.
I got all but a few items listed there.Last edited by D323; 11-10-2004, 03:32 PM.

Oh and before I forget I was talking with dave the other day and he said that the fuel pump wiring is different so that will also be an issue. Since I am using an RX-7 fuel pump, it came with a kit, but it will probably be different. I will post about it once I reach that point.
wider tires are also needed for traction issues....
anyone else think of anything I am missing?

I want around 225 at the wheels... on the VJ 20 for now. A turbo upgrade is eventually in the works, but for now I need a reliable daily driver that doesnt guzzle gas. I figure that in a 2300 lb car is good enough for a daily driver and good fun through corners. after I reach the power goal, I am on to more suspension and body work.

Cool. Close to my goal, ill prolly settle for around 200whp or so, then finish paying off my bills, and upgrade later. Just a nice little sleeper to beat all these other sleepers around town. In the long term though (next year or 2), Id like to be the first 1st gen in the US to hit 10s and be street legal. Unless its already been done.Eat ****.
