    pro or 323

sorry to be asking this, but if i ask anyone around here if i should fix up the 323 or protege theyd say why do either sell em and get a honda so....any help is appreciated...im going to be buying groharlems blue pro, now both my 323 and pro could use a lil work, should i keep the pro and sell the 323 and use the money to fix up pro or just swap the engine and stuff into the 323? any help/opinions would be great.....thanx...

keep the pro!! Personally, I think the Pro's look WAAAY better than the 323's. Plus it would look cooler if a 4 door "grandma" car smokes the weak ass hondas than another hatchback!! Jusy mt opinion tho!

it all comes down to preferance. 4 doors are nicer than 2 in the means that it is more practial and you have more room. Also the protege LX has the BP-DE. personally i would go pro. But a 323 in theory could go faster because i would assume it is lighter.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

drive the 323 until the Pro is fixed up, then use the 323 for AutoX

they don't actually weigh that much, that's just the GVWR.

Anyways, it would be helpful if we knew more. Which trim, mileage, condition, etc.

323 or MX-3 will be my next Mazda car.

Lexan is your friend with a 323. Get rid of all that hatch glass.

I need a hatch for the practicality. It'll be my daily driver and parts hauler for my other nutty ideas.

I agree, i mean the pro is a great car and i'll kill mine in a crash or drive it to the crusher which ever comes first. But lately i am really liking the hatch idea.

yes power to the 323. since mine is already fixed up i have to say ther 323 is a bit more of a challenge. but if you want to take the easy way out keep the Pro. You can think of it this way you'll have the only honda that starts with "M"(lol)

just kidding i love my Protege brothers and sister,
no but really its comes down to which one is in better condition.
and how much your willing to make this project work

well both cars would need a paint job...the pro needs windshield, fender, key cylinder, and a/c. the 323 needs hood latch fixed and thats it. also i found out today that the head gasket on the pro was blown but fixed. should i be worried about that? thanx again for the great responses....also do i necessarily need the pro tranny or can i just swap the engine and ecu to the 323, im just looking at doing i/h/e, nothing major..thanx again..

                            Someone can buy my 323

Unless you want to worry about doing the swap of the BP into the 323, I'd keep the protege.... Now wait, that's exactly what I'm doing!

a BP engine swap is not as easy as it sounds. there are a lot of wires that you pull form here, and what not. save yourself the trouble and keep the BP in the protege and drive that.
