    BP swap

    Now please delete this if you find it unnecessary, but I know there's a lot of people out there stuck with a SOHC that have plans to swap in a BP. Is there anyone out there that could do a write-up, because I know plenty of people have done the swap? Or maybe someone could compile info from all the threads about it into just one? Or maybe people could just post random things to watch out for or to make certain you do? Maybe some info about bolting the engine to the tranny and getting that all worked out? Maybe a diagram for the VICS wires and the ecu?

    Just an idea...please delete this though if its deemed pointless.

    If you want to do it, pretty much take out everything in the engine compartment from a Protege LX, or a Escort GT.

      thats obvious under certain circumstances... but what about the ecu and VICS crap and tranny?

        Use the ECU from the doner car, along with the tranny, the G series transmission is much better than the one in the SOHC.

          if you use the LX harness you dont need to worry about that "VICS crap"
          my car domain page is basicly a swap guide....altho it hasnt been updated in a long ass time.... but it might help....
