    whats with these kia "racers"?

thats funny. Theyre trying to figure out how they can get the gtx bpt motor and tranny to just drop right in.
I'm not trying to hate on kia. I just feel sorry for the owners. It's in the pioneering stage where the only performance mods are a butchered C.A.I and muffler. universal stuff. Hp and torque are in the double digits. But then you see a whole bunch of em on that site with the "i'm gonna make a $7k car beat a saleen" mentality when their only mods are rims and tinted windows. It would be nice to see a turbo'd rio not riced out or anything. They're good looking cars. I just think it'd be a waste considering how much negative feedback comes from all the current and previous kia owners. Leave it alone so the warranty doesn't void. They're gonna need it. Personally, I think they should scrap it and buy a protege.

I've seen a Turbo Daewoo. It was a 2 door hatch. Very fast and had big fat tires. It tore up some WRXs in the canyons.

I think this thread is a waste of space.

            a) Kias used a BP motor...the GTX DOES bolt in. There's one in Tampa that I've talked to a few times.

            b) This is the Protege, 5 years ago.

            c) STOP BEING A COMPLETE TOOL. please.

That's a hell of a lot of custom work, grand am's are FWD, right? **** for that I'd buy a used C5!

Not to disagree. But congradulations on being bandwagon arguers. No one disagreed until Edwin disagreed. Seems like everyone is too scared to go against him/ass.

I mean honestly, how can someone be such a moody person all the time Somethings wrong with his medulla oblongata. Though sadly I have to say...I get entertainment out of it, plus he's right 90% of the time.

I didn't read the thread until my last post, so I didn't get a chance to reply. But yea, I was going to comment that the Kia already had a BP, so the BPT was quite doable. Too late, oh well.

actually it was highly built up before the swap, plus the procharger....estimates are around 700 WHP, but they havnt hit the dyno yet cause procharger made them sign a contract for the first dyno run.

also, a complete RWD conversaion was custom fabbed for it, along with many new suspension components and reinforcements....i think it also utilizes a 12 bolt rear end, or something along those lines.

and then, why are you wasting our time and wasting space on the forum by posting this? go back 5 years ago and there wasn't **** for your jap crap econobox rice burner... the lowest thing someone can do is slam someone else's car that has no parts when there's little for theirs to begin with!

                              so are you a hypocrite?
jap crap econobox rice burner? No, you're the hypocrite. You're driving one yourself. If you consider it Jap crap though, why dont you just go with a ford mustang or something and then you can waste all the countries gasoline. then you can quit blaming junior bush for invading iraq for their oil. Then beg the Japanese for a fine piece of 4 bangin' machinery to save your ass and still rape gas guzzling 8 cylinder American **** boxes, and wear the proud name of an "import racer".
The point is, The protege has potential now even if it didn't before-than the Kia. We dont just have the BPT swap.
