I would recommend changing the rear main seal, as it's an ideal time to do it. Also, the timing belt MUST be changed, even if the motor supposedly only has 30,000 miles on it or whatever.

Also you will need a new clutch and pressure plate

Your going to need a good intercooler setup. Guages are a must, at LEAST... boost, EGT oil temp/pressure, water temp etc.

This is what I need b/c my 323 has the F series and I have to swap the tranny as well. If you have an EGT or an USDM LX then you dont need the tranny/axles/half shaft/speedo cable as they are already on your car.

edited list below from my post a long time ago since plans have changed slightly.

        Motor (duh)
        G-series Tranny
        G series Axles
Half or Intermediate shaft from protege LX
        Speedo cable from protege LX
ECU (I plan or running the GTX ECU with an aftermarket FMU)
GTX wiring harness (you can use your LX one, use the LX TB and you will have to swap some other plugs from what I have read)
FMU (I went with the Apexi SAFC-II)
        FM Intercooler
        intercooler piping
        boost controller
        A/F gauge
        boost gauge
        EGT gauge
at least 2.5in Exhaust piping, mandrel bent
        RX7/Walboro 255l/p/h fuel pump
        bov

This is what I have gathered so far that I will need.
Look in Gro Harlems motor interchangability guide.... it lists just about everything you should change while the motor is out. (Thanks to Wil).
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

FMU= Fuel management unit. Its just that, controls the amount of fuel being dumped into the combustion chamber. The SAFC, is a piggyback, meaning it tricks the ecu into thinking its doing something its not. It controls the amount of air and fuel in (I think) ~500rpm increments.

I have heard good things (so far) about the car tech FMU.... anyone else suggest another brand? I was thinking either cartech or vortech.

i used a jackson racing 12:1 on my previous setup and worked great. but i'll be using a vortech on the new setup. worked flawlessly on my friend's car.

there are many importers. i was part of a group buy on here.

contact cablemirc. he is our site admin and he can get you a motor for 950 or something like that if I remember correctly. There is also raceup I think its called. They ahve them on ebay (motor+tranny) for like 1200 on ebay everyonce in a while.

That or you can just start with a NA BP and buy all the turbo stuff (manifold, turbo, oil lines, piping and all the other necessary junk) and build your own for about the same price if not a little more.
