Autometer Module and shift lite installation

Bought an Autometer module 5310 with a shift lite. Instruction is pretty simple except for the Green Wire. Instruction says to tap it to negative (-) of a standard coil or electronic ignition. I am NOT familiar with our engines. I know what a standard coil looks like and did not see any in the engine bay. Can anyone direct me where to tap the green wire pls.

yes, i installed that tachometer almost 4 years ago when I was no so confident in my soldering abilities

im swapping out the engine, so when i install it on the new harness i'll solder it

but yes, thats what its for

awesome it works! but i had to splice the wires cuz the connectors were just not getting into the wires. first i used the connectors but NOTHING then i spliced the wires and eureka it works! I had to disassemble it though cuz it was too cold outside and will just finalize where to run the wires when its warm. at least i know it works!
