I'm not sure about with the dyno, but I think it will pass fine, BUT everything has to be in good working order. Spark plugs, wires, distrubtor, O2 sensor, etc. On the basic smog it was 140ppm max at idle for a 92 model, 120ppm for a 93. My 93 always scored well below that (about 1/10th of max at idle and at 2500), as it's in nice shape. The 92 had a little difficulty but it wasn't taken care of very well.
As long as that cat has close to stock capacity I'm sure you would be okay. (I'm sure it does, it's 10 years newer).
I wouldn't recommend Midas, btw. The best choices seem to be a local shop, especially if you know somebody who recommends them.2006 Mazda 3 hatchback manual
