    Will this work?

I have a 95 EGT, and i am looking to do the bp-t swap. now i see it comes with the awd tranny, will my 5spd tranny bolt up to it?

and what is the difference between a BP engine and a BP-T enigne, they are both turbo frm what I can see.

BP engine you already have, and that is not turbo.

Yes, you can take off the AWD transmission and put your existing FWD transmission on.

wouldn't it be cheaper/easier to add a turbo to the preexisting motor?

comes out about even once you add all the goodies needed for the swap. Parts for a NA > turbo swap can nickle and dime you fast.

Isn't the 95 egt OBD-II? IF it is then I would say it would be easier to bolt up the turbo parts from the BPT to your existing motor.

good point, thought it was 96 that had OBD2, but it would probably be easier to swap the entire motor in that case.

and another thing you might consider swapping in would be the MBSP from the BPT. Apparently the egt motors didnt get one.

I thought that all cars (95 yr models and above) were ODB-II.... does this mean that the escorts GT's that were made from 95-96 have the 2nd gen mazda BP?
Or did ford just add the necessary sensors and crap for the 1st gen motor to run off of an OBD-II system?
