    1.6l to 1.8l fits!!??

i was doing some reading on the forums and finally found some pretty decent information. i was reading a thread and i saw that the awr motormounts fit both the 1.8 and a 1.6. doesnt this mean that say a 00 1.8 would fit a 99 1.6, physically?

Why wouldn't a 1.8 swap into a car that had a 1.6? The car itself is the same, you'd just need all the associated parts besides the engine. Mounts, tranny, ecu, etc etc.

i wasn't asking about it, I was suggesting it. Just go straight to a 2.0. Get all you can out of it.

Both are good engines. I'd rather have the 1.8...more rev happy than the slow revving 2.0.

200cc's more isnt that much larger than you would think.

No, but you do get 8 more HP @ same RPM (6000) and 15 more lbs/ft torque @ same RPM (4000) from the extra 200 cc's. Figures taken from TheMAN's FAQ.

or did you mean use 1.8 mounts for the 1.6s stock location?
