    Speaker Baffles

I stoped into the local rice shop the other day, and the guy working there convinced me that I needed speaker baffles becuase 60% of a speakers output was lost to vibrating the door. WTF is up with that.

While I am aware that ist no where near 60%, Im pretty sure baffles would tighten up the sound and generally keep the speakers lasting longer.

Anyone know where I can get some 6x8/5x7 foam speaker baffles some 6x9's should come in quite nice too. Ive looked everywhere and either they dont offer that size or there sold out.

Another thing xtc makes foam baffes but there smallest are 3" deep im pretty sure we only have 2.75 to the door. It says that I should be able to compress them to fit, how with like a pice of tape or something?

    Help me find foam baffles

foam baffles don't stop the door from vibrating, dynamat does. and yes, dynamat does help. when the door skin that the speaker mounts to vibrates, it shakes the speaker and distorts the sound.
