SOHC to BP swap, any special notes?

I am possibly buying a DOHC engine from an LX a few towns over putting it in a 92 pro dx, and I'm wondering if there is anything I should really worryabout that might cause problems in the switch? I do plan on buying the LX wiring harness and ECU.. The engine mounts, etc will all work with the DOHC correct?

    My list of general things..
    low temp cut on thermostat
    thermostat gasket
    sparkplugs
    fuel filter
    head gasket
    valve cover gasket
    PCV valve
    water pump
    radiator lower and upper hoses
    main rear seal
    NGK spark plug wires
    DOHC Wiring Harness
    ECU
    and a dash cluster..

    Missing anything?

Also confused about what to do about the gauge cluster. I know the redline is different, but is there no way to get the mileage corrected on a new LX cluster?

just swap your old speedo into the new cluster... it's actually pretty simple.

WHEE!!! My local autozone now provides free use of specialty tools (INCLUDING engine hoists)!

You make a deposit for the tool (I would imagine not more than $250), and you take the tool and use it, then you bring it back and get your deposit!

Sweet deal to say the least, now I won't have to spend 100 dollars to rent one

use an OEM timing belt and water pump, they'll last a very long time

Yeah theman My original water pump, gaskets, and timing belt have all held up for 192k with no problems. Even now it's just a bad gasket, but the engine is at the point where problems are starting to pop up, and I want to get this in while I've got the chance, time, and money.

I had started writing my list the other day, I'm definitely replacing the timing belt.

Do you have any idea of what the pump and belt/seals cost from the dealership? If not I'll call them up today

I want to do this new engine right, no more supertech oil
