If you had to choose...

Well let me explain what I'm doing first..

Originally I was going to spend more money on audio.. Then I decided on the BP swap, so cash is a major problem right now.

So I've picked out two amps..
Jensen Power Series 340W Amplifier

and

PB446 Pyramid Reno Series - 600 Watt

Whichever amp I end up buying will be powering these:

If you had to choose between those two amps, which would you get? Normally, I would save and buy something that is "high quality" and will "last longer", but right now I want a moderately ghetto, extremely cheap, "inexpensive bump" from my trunk.

You guys let me know what you think.. I'm already expecting a few "save your money" responses

I notice that amazon now has featured sellers like crutchfield and thezeb. Each one has some products available, not the full lineup, but I noticed some Power acoustic, RF, Kicker, Kenwood, MTX, audiobahn, etc.

On a side note, looking at enclosures from RF even, the lower models all use 5/8" mdf versus 3/4"

Yeah they do have some good brands now, getting even more audio things every day Looks like I'm going to keep looking around on amazon. One thing I can say for jensen is that the head unit I bought (cd3210), just a 100 dollar cheapie, has worked skip free and problem free since I installed it.

Most likely I *will* go with those subs though. My reasoning there is that I like the way the box looks, I like the reviews I've found for it, and it is the exact size I'm looking for, and well, the price is right. I'm not really looking to impress with my audio, I just want moderate bump at a low price.. whatever I save with audio goes to performance mods

ya know, i had no idea the RF enclosures where 5/8". the one in my buddy's expedition sounded pretty darn good for an entry level enclosure.

What all would wiring in a turn on switch involve doing? Want to put it below the light dimmers to the left of the steering wheel.

Also, is there an EASY way to wire up the amp, without having cables showing? Basically an easy way to get the wires under the carpet..

^^^^ what blue said. ...did you actually order it yet? Cause you can just go down to you loacl wal mart and get a schoche EFX amp wiring kit for 12 bux for the 10 gauge kit and 20 for he 8ga and 25 for the 4 ga kit

Heh, I'll go to walmart and get 8 gauge kit.. Doesn't matter to me, the woman who ordered the 10 ga for me, I am really pissed at her so her money wasted is joy to me I guess

I installed my kenwoods ..today, I'll post pictures tomorrow. I was mad I couldn't use the grills since the window cranks got in the way

While we're on the topic of amps and stuff.. I found the opening on the passenger side for the firewall but I couldn't get through it.. I know the opening on the drivers side is above the gas pedal somewhere, but what's the secret to finding it and getting something through it?
