    wiring question

    hi,

i'm going to install an amp into my 2002 P5, but i dunno where to feed the power wire from the battery to the trunk. I've done some searching and a few posts say u can make a hole thru where the clutch is suppose to be? is that true? where is it located? is there some other way to do it? thanks!

there is the hole where the clutch would be, if you have an automatic. there's a white hard plastic plug covering it, with 2 bolts holding it in. near that there is a rubber grommet that you can also feed wire through. on the passenger side firewall there is another large grommet that is easy to feed 4 guage through.

is this the white cover that i should remove??

also, do i unscrew the bolt from inside or from the engine compartment?
or do i need to unscrew it at all?

      Thanks!

yup. . that would be it.. or you can poke a hole throught that rubber grommet just to the right of that white plug. that is what i did (i have a 5spd) and have a 0 ga and various other wires using that hole for a way through the firewall
