    Rear speakers have lost power?

Anyway, my sound system isn't all that great.... It's basically pieced together parts I got mostly for free as replacements for the factory stereo and speakers. No subs, no amp. Pioneer 6x8's (prolly WalMarted but not too bad) in the back, Boston 4" in the doors. Head unit is a Sony CDX-F5705X.... Plays MP3's, detachable face, etc.

So one day I'm listening to my music, and suddenly both rear speakers sorta lose power... There's still music playing out of them, but the volume has drastically decreased, and the bass is completely gone. My door speakers are MUCH louder right now.

Other than shoddy DIY wiring, what could have caused this? I don't think they are blown, I wasn't listening to anything especially loud and theyre only about 3 years old.

Now say it with me... B-R-A-K-E.

    Good job!

being that they both cut out like that leads me to believe there is a problem in the HU, if it's not a wiring problem.
