    my 95 egt to gtx swap

    well i decide to make a new thread for my swap, yes another gtx swap

    i'm doing this swap at my parend house becose i dont have a garage at my house right now. i had the gtx engine from fev. this year but only be able to work on it 3 weekend, my parents live 3h away from where i live

    here the list of the part i got:
    91 escort gt tranny with all seal changed
    gtx engine
    gtx vaf
    gtx wastegate solenoid valve
    gtx solenoid valve(purge control)
    gtx knock sensor
    gtx ecu
    egt fuel ligne
    gtx piping
    probe interecooler
    act clutch kit Z62-HDSS
    autometer oil+boost gauge
    new mazda waterpump
    new mazda timing bel
    castrol gtx oil 10W30
    Red line MT90 tranny oil
    2 new lower ball join
    stock EGT harness with some gtx connector (got a cut gtx harness)

    that all i can remember for now hehe, here some pic

    can i ask where you got your bpt ad how much you paid for it?

      i got it from japan motor import in montreal QC. got it for 1800$ CND with awd tranny, cut harness, vaf, all sensor and ecu

          i got a problem my gtx injector they dont spray fuel at all. its there some liquide stuff that i can put them it to clean it?? or i should just go to mazda so they can check it??

          can i use my stock 4 wire O2 sensor or i need to mod the wire to put back the 3 wire gtx one???

            you have a stock 4-wire O2? My EGT has a single wire O2 and I kept my existing wiring harness (GT one)

              yep my 95 egt come with a 4 wire. i will keep this one and try it on the dyno to see how its the air fuel ratio

                very nice dood..... not bad for only 3 weekends of work.
                The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

                  Yeah, I cant wait to get mine on the dyno soon too - if I am running rich enough I am upping the boost - I already need more

                    i got the engine running with the gt injector, the gtx one dont work, but not good. it idle bad like someting he what to stop. when i push the pedal it try to stop sometime i rev i didnt rev more then 2500rmp. i got a leak on my turbo... oil. the problem its the oil that leak from the turbo its realy dark and the oil in the engine its not at all, its that possible that the input oil on the turbo its bloked??


                    the turbo leak where its separe in the midle on the exhaust side...

                    anyone can help me with that??

                      ok here another problem, i put the gtx o2 sensor, its start but die after 7-10 sec just like after the computer finish sending more fuel for the startup. i'm using stock gt injector, could it be the problem?? its there a way to make the gtx injector work?? i tryed cleaned them with injector cleaner but didnt work.

                        The GTX O2 sensor is a 3 wire sensor - you have to wire it in properly.

                        When trying things, change one thing at a time and that way you know what works and what doesn't.

                        Perhaps its no the GTX injectors themselves that are not working - but you are maybe runnign too rich ... I had wiring issues at first that made me believe the injectors were bad ...

                          we checked yesterday and the o2 its wire correctly. why the gt injector would work and not the gtx if the wire was wrong?? it would be so rich that i would not even try to start??

                            good news!! i got the gtx injector working, i put them in the car, got a leaking one but the car start and rev correctly!!! when i come back in the house my gf told me.. finaly you got a smile on your face lol i was geting tired of trying to make it work
