Putting 5x7's In 2001 LX? Need help...

So I am moments away from buying my new front speakers...

I was going to get a pair of Alpine 5x7's Type S, but got convinced to make the jump to the Type R's

Thing is the Type S comes with a 6x8 mount kit, but the details of the Type R neglects to say if it comes with that adapter..... So I will assume it doesn't...

If it doesn't, what will I need to install these properly? I'd rather get the info beforehand rather than tear my door apart and then go 'wtf do I do now?' ehhe...

I have the 5x7 type s speakers. I didnt even have to use the adapter when installing them so I say your safe with a 5x7.

What I would be worried about is them clearing the windows. Be sure to check on that.

that's cutting it really close with the window. max is 2 3/4".
