Locating and Removing my EGR pipe

I cant find anything.

2. Try looking a little harder, I found it in less then a minute

3. Removing the EGR pipe is dumb. It your EGR is working properly, it won't do anything for you but throw a check engine light. Driving around with a check engine light on all the time is even dumber then removing the EGR in the first place.

ok look, i asked a question about the manual.
i asked if it contained any information about the EGR.

I still havent been able to find anything on it

As for the EGR pipe goes I was asking because OCD-SPEED
said that it would make the car run smoother and improve
the horses some.

EGR sends spent(no oxygen) air back into the intake. You need oxygen to burn gas right? with egr you get less oxygen going into your cylinders which means its not at full potential. Increase the amount of clean air going into the cylinder and you increase HP. its very simple and used worlwide for hp gains. taking it out cant hurt you, it can only help.

Well, see...now this thread is all about your EGR valve.

As far as the EGR impacting performance...maybe .0001 hp.
Look at the size of the pipe...not much air is flowing through there. As far as the amount of oxygen in that amount of air...there's still oxygen in it. Think about it, where are your O2 sensors?
Once that tiny little bit of exhaust makes it way through the EGR tube, it's flow into the intake is restricted by the EGR valve. It's not like it's a straight dump.

The ecu will detect the unplugged EGR and throw a code. Your check engine light will come on and stay on. Now you have no way of knowing if something else goes wrong with your car because you'll automatically dismiss the CEL as the same old EGR issue.
Bottom line, it's ghetto. If that's the way you want to mod your car, be my guest.

If you want some free performance gains, remove the resonator from the intake.

That's the one. Remove it, connect some plumbing and lead it to the front of the car, like to the airdam, and voila! you've got yourself a cold air intake using the stock airbox! Well, sort of. Be sure to use a better-flowing replacement filter, like K&N to take full advantage of the effect. That should be a fun and relatively simple project that you can hear and feel the difference.
