    e-break light

so my e-break light keeps coming on when I accelerate hard.

    is there some explanation?

btw, my front pads are almost finished. got replacement ones, just waiting to get a c clamp to change those suckers.

The Brake light not only is for the parking brake, but serves as a general warning light for the brake system.

Check your brake fluid level. It will go down as the pads get worn.

s hort in the connector plug and or wire. There's a connector plug right at the base of the e-brake.

Also check the spring loaded switch on the e-brake handle itself.

          (must remove console panels)

light comes on as all the brake fluid goes into the calipers, hence at the time your low on fluid so the light comes on when you brake/hard eccelorate cause is sloshes around

the problem WILL dissapear when you change pads, happened to me, and you wont have so much brake fluid sloshing around so no light

              charles nailed that problem

I had the same problem. I was low on fluid but I also had the short in the wire. Check both of them and you should be able to fix the problem
