    Ae86

Well, since im out two cars now i have started looking for a car i can afford now as a "beater" sorta.

Well i found one, a 85 Corola GTS, with a new lsd and a 4agze swap (supercharged 1.6 liter) the car has 210k miles on the clock, and about 50 on the motor, car looks good, no rust, minimal body damage.....

    all for $1100......

well ive been doing some research, i know how well liked these cars are and stuff, but cant find any real infol ike hp (all in kwatts....) and no weight info.... anyone know this.

but how do you think this car will treat me? a good idea, or should i keep looking for the 323 gtx i want

btw i plan on autocrossing and drifting this car (learning to drift that is by some friends that compete locally). if i get the 323 itll become a autocross bitch

both will be daily driven, and modded lightly over the next years.

both are about equal power wise now

If that engine has only 50k on it, it's a STEAL!

all I know is, that is a ****ing steal of a price.

be sure to see if there's a reason why it's so cheap...

just a general question, would a drifting style suspension setup be exclusive from an autocross style setup?

i think so, but the drift suspension would probably still be good in autocross with some adjustments. Overall i dont know what kinds of suspensions are out there for the ae86, i hear alot of them just cut the springs and use blown stock struts....lmao. But i plan on doing a full coilover setup and a make sure the lsd is in good condition. also some nice big wheels and a levin body swap or whatever it is.

The car, why its so cheap...... no interior really all the pluss for me, it has a dash, the console , drivers and passengers seat and thats it. and it needs new wheels and tires (Steelies or something he said) as he sold the wheels that were on there i guess.

Im gonna go take a look at it tomarrow and take a test drive, im off to the bank today to take out the 500 bucks i have, and get a 600 dollar loan from a friend too.....

if all goes well, ill be drifting hachirouco style soon (i know i spelled wrong).....

still wondering how much this puppy weights though, i always remember it being light weight as hell..

then the car situation as of now... the p5 and se-r are still here. but i have no means of using them. i guess my parents were trying to scare me or something. but they're planning on putting them in storage until i turn 19 when im "more responsible with my money". BAH

untill then ill be driving an AE86, and buying stuff for it and the se-r, and maybe some stuff for the p5 occasionally. Hopefully things will start to work out better soon though, im tired of getting screwed with while im at home.

1100 bucks for a modded GTS? It's hot. Average price these days with the inflated market due to their popularity is up around 3500-5 for a stock one.

I'd love to have an old Toyota Corolla GTS. That'd make a sweet project car. You should certainly get it. 1100 is an awsome price for that car.
