    Strut Tower Bars

What are the good ones for a 2001 lx2.0?

i've seen lots floating around from US$30 to US$100... the one on mazdastuff.com seems really sturdy.
but on procarparts, it's $30, and it looks more sophisticated (not that i know what i'm talking about or anything )

    anyways... any help??

I'll back him up here. The bar is very sturdy (one piece) and does its job well. I don't have experience with other ones, but my guess is that it outperforms everything except for the $200+ carbon one.

I agree. It may be a little more expensive but it's OEM quality and it WORKS.

hey, I'm considering this since it's pretty cheap and if it's standard on the P5, it's gotta be effective.

But I was wondering what people thought of it on the sedans? Do you notice a difference?

There is a slight difference...if you autocross there will be a HUGE difference. Turn in is quicker and the steering feels more stable.

                that's what i've heard, too.
if you're a hard-turner or like to drive sharp, then a strut tower bar will make a huge difference

                  Hello,
do you guys recommend the strutbar that mazdastuff.com have for a protege es 03. The reason why im asking cause i just went to da dealer and they were going to sell me a mazdaspeed strutbar for $450.00 dollars. I just thought that was a little crazy for a strutbar, especially cause I saw one on ebay for $9.00. Now i dont know if you guys would recommend that.

                  Thank you

depends. if it's the strut tower bar they were talking about.
the one on mazdastuff is the mazda one, i believe, and it's great, from what i've heard. i'm saving up to buy one (probably after i move into my new place in feb)
my dealership wanted to sell me one for 275CDN... the one on mazdastuff is like 140CDN after conversion, 'bout 175CDN with shipping.
Dealerships will ALWAYS try to rip you off (unless it's friends working there, of course)

Yeah, I know what you mean when it comes to the dealer. Unfortunately, I dont have any friends that works there. I saw a strut bar at planetperformance.com its for $39.00 its reactive or something like that.
                      Would you recommend this?
                      thanks

i had a thread about this a couple weeks back. and everybody suggested i go with the Mazdastuff one, as it's a mazda strut bar... it's more solid and it's MADE for our cars.. so it does only make sense to get that one.
I'm taking everybody's advice, most people here seem to know what they're talking about

Your dealer is trying to rip you off. The Mazdaspeed bar is the exact same one they sell on Mazdastuff.com with the exception o maybe the color.

definitely order it off of mazdastuff.com. you will get the mazdaspeed one, it comes in silver color, b/c those replaced all the MP3 parts. And it gets shipped to you pretty quick, and if you have cruise control it comes with all the brackets....
