    door locks and doors

so on my lx the driver side door is starting to piss me off. I can't open the door from the inside anymore. I took the inside cover off and couldn't figure out why its not working.

the door is also rusting so i want to just a get a new one. here is my question:

i have an lx, can I get any door and just do the wiring for the power windows, use the same lock cylinder, and the power window assembly in another door?

well if you not want to have to carry 2 keys to get into your car i would say use your lock, adn transplant it into an LX door. What colour is your car?
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

well Cablemirc and i went on ajoint venture for a protege GT. i'm sure we can find some way to help you out. My car and the GT both have p/l and p/w. i'll take to Cablemirc and see what is up. Granted it might not be till the endo fo winter because i do ahve to preserve the interior of the car.

          thank you

i'm kinda looking for an immediate solution and getting a new car is out of the question, because i can't afford goddam insurance.

they want 5200 a year for a brand new protege which i can afford the payments on.

if you can open the door from the outside she should be OK

did you wd40 all the pivot points while you had the door panel off?

You can swap the entire door no problem. Just make sure to get a door with all the power options, or it will be a much bigger swap than it should be (the same color would help too )

The lock cylinder can be swapped very easily from your door to the new door, so you can still use the same key. Remove the pivot rod, and slip out the spring clip, blammo it's in your hands.
