The TPS is a secondary input to the AFC allowing you to have several calibration curves. - no one seems to get that. The AFC reads the AIRFLOW SIGNAL and mofifies that signal and then sends it to the ECU. The airflow signal is the only signal the AFC modifies and interrupts. If you use a MAP sensor you are replacing your VAF with a MAP sensor.

You're not replacing the vaf with anything.....The MAP sensor is ONLY routed to the safc's tps input. Nowhere else.....Its just so that it switches maps based on load and not just throttle position. And it makes it easier in his case where the 5 speed doesnt have a real tps.

elscotto just couldn't tune it right. I have one right now on my turbo'd BP and I love it. as soon as you figure out how to use it and use the Map sensor for the TPS everything works right. Have not had any problems.
