Vaughn is usually smart, but some of that stuff is just wrong...

his big chart of how to tune the suspension is WAY over simplified, and infact, as i read more of it....most everything is just WAY too over generalized, but I guess it's a good starting point.

Can anyone explain to me why my car keep going out of alignment?

I had an alignement done, and now my rear wheels are crazy missaligned again, but now they're making a really bad harmonic that makes the whole car humm over 70kph.

Does anyone else know why this happenned? If it's caused by something else, I'll fix it before re-aligning the wheels again.

As it is, I drove the car to Stowe from Montreal and I had a headache from the noise within 45 minutes of leaving. The harmonic is really bad.

Could it be a bad bearing?

No, the bearings are OK, and it's not a high tone like you get with a bearing.... I'ts a low humming sound, but it's loud. Everyone that's heard it and my mechanic all think it's the tires. The Federals are loud to begin with, but they were never this bad before.

from what you are discribing ,it sounds like the belts in your rear tires are seperating . You wont be able to see anything but when the belts let go the tires do strange things . I've had them need balancing everother day to the car becoming a rear wheel steer .
