    Numbers=decent
    A/F Ratio=BAD
    Leanest: 14.8
    Boost: 10PSI
    This is a turbo bp with gtx intake manny, vj20 turbo, and exhaust manny. SAFC2 Does NOT work under full throttle. The ECU wont take the reading from the VAM and uses pre programed maps. So this myth is actaually true. Does anyone know how to trick the ECU so it doesnt know the throttle is full open and take the reading from the VAM?

    Are you using the 330cc injectors?

    I mentioned to you you are probably running lean

    Trade in the AFC for a GTX ECU

      Yes im using gtx injectors. I dont want the gtx ecu. I already have the safc and btm. i just need to find out how the guys with the safc are tricking the ecu so you can controll fuel with the safc

        Where in the RPM range are you running lean? What does your narrowbad AF gauge say at that point?

        Also, I think people used the SAFC with a MAP sensor hooked in to the throttle position input

          I think I read somewhere that you must use a screw to block the throttle from going at 100%. So the ecu doesn't ignore the s-afc modfied readings of the vaf.

            The GTX and GTR ECU's use the airflow meter at full throttle. If yours doesn't you have the wrong ECU.

                    But you have 9.0 compression ... so your numbers will be higher than a GTX motor.

                      Indeed your A/F are F***king way too lean you should get 11 or a most 12.5 on good gaz....

                      For your WOT problem you could adjust your tps so he would read like 80% throttle at WOT, just plug an OBD-1 scanner on your ECU and open throttle full and adjust tps by watching the reading.

                      Personnaly I DON'T suggest this and I would get a GTX ECU instead or a measquirt. Secondly your injectors are maybe too small, and do you still have the stock fuel pump ? if so get a least a 190lph pump or a 255plh

                        from what i understand, is you swap your TPS to a ATX 4 wire tps, and run a MAP off of the 4 wire TPS, as well as off of the MAF. but all the MAP is for is to run the AFC off of. so you get acurate tunning all the way from 0 to WOT. im looking into it. im swaping over to a BP10 ECU, but im thinking to goign to a megasquirt instead.

                          Well I was referring to power as well as most importantly A/F. Safe A/F ratios depend on so many things ... they depend on how your combustion chamber is built, compression ratio, gas you're intended to use, timing ....

                          When a GTX was designed, it was designed for performance and safety. That being said, the A/F ratios of a complete GTX car are a good indication of what was designed to be safe on that car. I doubt they go into the 11s. You actually lose power with such a low A/F ratio and if the engine is designed well, it can do just fine with a higher A/F ratio.

                            Indeed you have a good point here. you'd be suprised of the A/F you can get on stock cars, anyways another thing to consider is everycar is different, take 2 identical GTX and they will have diffrent results.

                            But it is clear that over 14 A/F ratio is not acceptable at all on a Turbo'd car. He really needs to find a good combination to tune is engine or he will end up having suprises.

                              14 is indeed high but it also depends where in the RPM band he was getting it and how much boost he was making at that point.
