Gasoline/ Hydrogen sounds much better than just Hydrogen as the only fuel source. I have heard that Hydrogen powered cars produce significantly less power than that of Gasoline powered cars.

At least that way you have the option to switch between the two, for power or economy I'd drive a hydrogen/gasoline turbocharged RX8.

they've had a page on the hydro RX-8 on ultimatecarpage.com for a while now... While running on hydrogen it apparently puts out about 120 hp... which isn't really that bad. It makes just as much power as the normal version when it's running on gasoline. I suspect this is because hydrogen would need a much higher compression ratio than the gasoline version to make as much power.

bah, hydrogen has the potential to be just as powerful if not more than gasoline. The problem is that technology has been there for many years to boost the efficency of gasoline powered motors. I'd be willing to bet as more and more auto manufacturers move toward hydrogen, the cars become more and more powerful to compete with todays petroleum powered cars.
