Well,
I thought I'd do the 1/4 before the season is over and winter shows its head.
What I'm looking for is some tips. I have never done the 1/4 before officially.
First of all, I can stick with my 15 inch rims and 195/60/15 tires or borrow my friend's 17's with 205/40/17 tires that are higher performance than mine but with wheels that are quite a bit heavier.
Secondly, I have a hard time hooking up in 1st and sometimes 2nd gears. Should I drop the clutch and spin or take off slowly and avoid wheelspin. If I floor it while already in 1st the wheels take off starting with 4000 rpm ... should I just put it into 2nd at that point or ease on the throttle and keep 1st?
Also, where should I shift? I hit a fuel cut just above 6500 ... but the car/turbo feels like it wants to shift at around 6200 ... seems to run out of breath much beyond that.
Any tips are appreciated
