    Ecu-tps

This up coming weekend I plan to do a motor swap. Im going from a B8-ME in a auto 94 protege dx to a BP-ZE on friday. The BP-ZE comes out of a manual 92 escort gt. I have no problems as far as the mechanical aspect of it but I don,t know what to do as far as the manual to auto ECU-TPS plugs. I bought the escort today and its got everything with it, so i have both ecu units. Anyway if any one could help me figure out how to wire a manual to an auto. I would greatly appreciate it.

If not looks like I,ll be spending a long night of me standing there with my dick in my hand and scrathing my head.

The auto plug has a 4 wire TPS (as do overseas motors)

The MT TB plug has a 3 wire. I know you can wire it in by splicing, but I couldn't begin to tell you how. Easiest way would be to go to a j/y and get a TB from an automatic with a BP and swap it on. No wiring or headache then.

Oh and replace the gasket that goes between the TB and the intake manifold if you do.

    Welcome to the club.

Pics of the car/motor to be swapped/anything?
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

You can run the 4 wire on the M/T ECU. It wont see it, and then when you go with a GTX, you already got that 4 wire there so the GTX ECU can use it.

I guess that would work, I just know that I didn/t want to end up using the wrong one and haveing the ecu get mixed messages..
