How to wire up dash for gtx swap?

Ive looked around but had no luck on trying to find out how to wire up the dash for a gtx swap? Anything on how to do it for a escort or protege will help. Id like to know both if possible.

Exactly, in dash plugs should all be the same AFAIK.

It also plugs in for an MX-3 (even the v6 ones)

Jitb proved this when he converted to the v6 and just plugged it all into the dash no problem.

if you are swapping a gtx engine harness into an escort there are two plugs that have to be cut and replaced with the egt ones after splicing both together. people always forget to mention that little bit. for a protege you don't have to do this.


^^ those are the plugs you are looking at swapping the 323 ones for your egt ones.

Does anyone have some good pics on how to do it with a RHD harness. I have tried to figure out wiring diagrams but im not the best at it!!!! Any how tos or pics or ANYTHING will help! Thanks guys! The dash wiring is the only thing holding me up on this swap. i dont want to do it wrong and something go wrong!

All the wires that are the same color go together, then there is a thicker wire for the fuel pump, can't remember the colors though. I'll look tommorrow though.

when using a gtx engine harness and ecu into a escort gt then use this.
take a look at this page by jacobb russell, this is how i did
it on my 91 escort gt, you will still have to do something about the fuel pump turn on thought as the gtx harness has a resisitor for the fuel pump
