    Dropzone springs

What is the general attitude twoard dropzone products? The lowering springs in perticular. I don't want to loose my ride quality, I just want to lower the car a few inches without breaking the bank.

drop zones are stiff as ****. they suck, i wish i hadn't gotten them, but instead gotten some ground control, but hey what can ya do...... if you want to keep your ride quality then get some eibach lower springs. and if the springs don't drop your car enough then you can cut out some of the dead coils.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

I wouldn't buy any Dropzone product. They seem way too cheap and I've never heard of anybody that was extremely happy with their Dropzones. Here's a list of the lowering springs available for the 1st gen Protege. This is a quote from the FAQ:
      ----------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to lower my car, are there any springs available for the Protegé?
      For 1st generation:
      B&G lowering springs (1.4" drop)
      Intrax lowering springs (1.75" drop)
      Eibach lowering springs (1" drop)
Suspension Techniques lowering springs (1" drop)
H&R lowering springs (1.25" drop front, 1" drop rear)
Weapon-R and Ground Control also have coil-over kits
      AutoExe Aragosta coil overs
      ------------------------------------------------------------

The springs range from $200-$300 in price brand new. You can possibly find a better deal on Ebay from time to time. Ground Control coil-vers are around $400.

I have the Eibach springs on my car and so far I have been very pleased with them. Hope this helps

Only if you are buying drop zone coilvers. This particular brand is not very good. It's only a few posts above.
