WTB: '95 DX Auto transmission cable

    Hello:

I need the transmission shifter cable complete for a '95 DX with 1.5 engine, and the lever that bolts to the top of the tranmission gear selector shaft.

    Thanks,

    Paul

I have just the thing you need. Took mine out two days ago. I'll have to take a pic of the other side of the cable, but it is complete with the part that attaches to the tranny.

    I have the shifter too.

Hmm, the part numbers are a little different for a 95 and a 97 cable. I don't know how much different the part is. I can take detailed pics if you're interested.

Please, more pix would be great. At the bare minumum you have helped with the part ###, if I have to hit up a dealer. For the life of me I can't find this part aftermarket!

        Thanks!

I doubt it's available as an aftermarket item.

I'll go take pics later today.

By the way, the part will cost upwards of $119.05 at the local dealer. Where are you located?

                Thanks for the pics!

Tranny side is very similar, shifter side isn't even close. Looks like I'm going to have to shell out the $$$ at the dealer.

I just bought the car today, '95 DX with 60K. Car sat a lot, transmission shift rod got tight and the cable broke. I freed up the tranny shift rod, got the car into neutral, set the parking brake, put it in drive and drove it home.
Previous owner didn't have a clue.

Everything else is fine. Spent $550 for the car...

                Thanks for your help.

                Best,

                Paul

I have the shifter too if you decide to go that route.

Otherwise order the cable from Showcase Mazda ($94.05) or Albany Mazda (slightly cheaper at $90.24).

It was only driven 6,000 miles per year?

Yep! Has some exhaust leakage near/around the manifold when cold.......I'm going to have to check that out too.
