    Driving Lights

I was bored over last weekend, decided to put some cheapy driving lights on my car. They're Optilux (made by hella), and put out 55w. As you can see from the pics, they are quite bright.

I also installed the Escort GT fog light switch for that delicious factory look (though I don't have a picture of it yet).

You think thats bright? My roomate has the Xenarc HID driving lights. But they do cost an arm or two.

I'm curious. How bright are those compared to your low beams?

werdness. looks badass. i always bought the autozon driving lights. Its nice cause after u get bored of em put em back in the box and take em back. Ive done that for 3 sets of fogs ive gotten from there and Advanced Auto . LMAO i cant find a set i like.

Im pretty sure ima do the GTR bumper and get P5 or PIAA fogs for the fog light openings.

                Should look badass! :ARCADE:

God knows , being a owner of the same car ... YOU NEED DRIVING LIGHTS. At night you can't see crap .. I am going to get some big round driving lights and install them down there, because I can't see anything at night. It would be better for me to put a human spotter on the hood and let him spot traffic

I used to have a set of PIAA 200W off road fog lamps under my bumper.

Had to take one out cause it got cracked when my bumper got hit, and b/c they got so hot that the light itself made the plastic around it soft and pliable.

I thought it was just me and I was blind!! Also, if you can get a brighter light that doesn't suck as much juice or the same amount at most, that is even better. Not only are they not that bright, but they dim as well if you have a system!

It's too bad the group buy on those e-spec lights fell through, they would have been bright as ****

Not only are they not bright enough (luckily I have fog lights), but they dim to the bass too! Makes it harder to see.....and hear!! :p:

I notice people with moderately loud to very loud stereos have headlight dimming problems with the 2001 and up Proteges and 1st MP3 was saying it's probably do to poor ECU management of headlights as well as wiring on the board of headlights. I thought of going in and finding the wire and upgrading it, but I have tinkered enough of it. Even beefing up the wire from alternator to the fuse box and from there to the battery didn't help. I have a groundkit, stiffening cap, and dry cell battery. Thank God for fog lights!!
