    GTR Won't run

I have a GTR motor in a ford festiva, and it won't run. HA. Well, it is not getting fuel. If I put raw gas in the intake it runs, until the fuel runs out? it has fire but no fuel. How can I get fuel to my motor?!

your fuel pump working correctly? Injectors etc ?

Maybe you wired something wrong and your fuel pump isn't getting power?

        Whats your setup (GTR ecu/aftermarket?)

Might just need to clean the injectors....

glad to see you got it all together.. I was wondering after the sweet pics of the downpipe you fabbed in that thread a while back.

Fuel pump works great, it is loud when it is on. Here is my issue, the motor ran great before I pulled it out, i started it in the front clip. I am running the stock computer. Now, I have noticed that it is a return fuel system. When I had it hooked up in the front clip, i used the stock festiva fuel pump to start it up, and run it. Now I have a 255 fuel pump installed and there isn't any fuel returning out of the return line? Is it possible I have too much fuel pressure for the stock fuel pressure regulator? It's hard to belive my injectors have gotten dirty from sitting for a year. My next step was to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, then get my injectors cleaned. If it was my wireing, it wouldn't run at all when I give it fuel right? If it is, how do I test if the injectors ar wired correct?

If I can't get this to work, I'm going to get a megasquirt, + fuel pressure regulatror.

the stock fuel pressure regulator is fine with a walbro. Check your fuel lines and that they are connected properly. Check your fuel filter. Trace the line that goes from the pump to the engine and make sure you are getting fuel there when pump is working.

Are you running the GTR harness?

the lines are connected backwards at the rail. happened to me too. switch em and you should get plenty of fuel coming out the return.

I am running the gtr harness and ecu.

Here is a pic of how I have the fuel flow hooked up, follow the Arrows, Is this right? I'll try and switch them this evening to see if it makes a difference.

here is a pic of the regulator. Fuel should be comming out of this, not into it correct? I'll try it tonight. This is all I lack. I know it runs. Damn!!!WTF?

Ya, that's the proper flow direction. Fuel comes into the rail from the fuel pump (thru the filter first) then to the regulator and back to the tank. Id just make sure you have the hoses at the rail hooked up properly.

not the *small* hole in the firewall for the intake manifold... lol, that GTR is crammed in there.... badass project though.

oh and I am sure you removed the PCV valve and line for just the picture

What injectors are those? I didnt realize GTR injectors are yellow.?.? If those are high impedance injectors thats your problem b/c the GTR uses low impedance signals. I ran into this same problem... I bought some 460cc injectors and got low impedance ones... luckily I will be running Megasquirt so low or high doesnt matter for me.

I think the GTR injectors are orange in color, so Im pretty sure he is running the GTR injectors.
