    building mah first sub box

    well... i need work. but here's my first attempt at building a vented sub box.







    I will try this again when I have a garage/workspace and an extra set of hands... probably turn out a little better


    Kenwood KDC-519 w/ RF 500bd + e12K.44
    RB springs

      it's not horrid... it'll work and most people probably won't know the difference..
      i just don't like the fact that it's not perfect.. i'm of up to 1/4 inch in certain spots.... so i'll just rebuild it.. it was dirt cheap to build.. like CDN$40 for all the supplies and wood....

          did you predraw everywhere boards mee? that helps to keep it straight did you read through my box how-to? also, being that the vents are a bit off, it will effect tuning. how badly i don't know, but it won't be exactly as designed and you don't need so many screws:p: one every 4" is plenty as long as you use good wood glue. also, you don't need it so close to the joints, that's what causes most of the splitting

              ahhh. ok... i thought i overdid it.. i predrew everything.. but i couldn't get anything to stay, and i didn't know in what order to put everything together

              oh well.. for the rebuild, i'll take a little more time and get someone else to help.. or at least use some clamps.
